Dancers of all ages, who want to share their love of tap dancing, are invited to participate. | |
Each organization is allowed a maximum of 10 minutes to perform including set up and strike. | |
Open to dancers of all ages and skill levels. | |
Your participation fee ($25) is used to help with production costs. | |
Please check in at least 30 minutes before your schedule performance time. | |
When you are not performing, please encourage and applaud the other dancers. | |
Buster Cooper, a native of Magnolia, Arkansas, is known locally, regionally and internationally as Master Teacher and Choreographer. For 52 years Mr. Cooper owned his own studio and for 30 years he served as head of the dance department at Hockaday School, Dallas. In the late 1980's, Mr. Cooper had six former students appearing simultaneously on Broadway. | |
Buster Cooper received the President's Award from Dance Masters of America and Lifetime Achievement Award from Educators of American. He was recognized by Dance Council of North Texas in 1997 for his lifetime contribution to dance. Gus Giordano and Dance Council offer an annual scholarship in Buster's name for a young dancer to attend the Jazz World Congress. | |
